Dual sport boot for wide feet

Do any of the boot manufacturers make a dual sport book for a wider foot? I like the look of the shorty Comp 5 from Fox but of course their website doesn't state 2E or 4E. In the absence of a wider boot, what other options are out there?

Also, many manufacturers offer "riding shoes" for street use that may work. Anyone use those for dual sport riding?

I am trying to avoid a heavy uncomfortable boot and certainly don't want laces dangling down from a leather hiking boot.

I've got fairly wide feet and the Piloti race shoes fit "fairly well". They also make an motorcycle shoe that might fit your needs.

I finally broke down and bought a pair of the Gaerne Balance Oiled boots and they are known to fit wide feet, very comfortable walking boot as well.

I have fat (EEEE) tall feet and went with the Alpinestar No Stop trials boot.They have a nice flexible sole that is good for walking and the fit is great.

I'm a EE and have some Gaerne G-Midlands that are really comfy. Tall boot, but a good dual sport boot w/o the full armor of a off road boot, but still a lot of protection over sport touring or just leather boots.

I have the Fox Comp 5 shorty. They are very comfortable, but not particularly wide. Construction is solid for a boot at this price. The toe box is somewhat narrow.

The MSR VX boot is very roomy, and a pretty good value in a cheap boot. They are not what I would choose for all-day rides on the slab, although they are less stiff than many MX boots. The toe box is enormously high and can restrict shifting.

I just went through this looking for my last pair. Everyone said try the Gaerne, try this Fox or this Astar. Stay away from Sidi. Well after buying trying several manufacturers locally and shipping multiple ones back to different online vendors I ended up with the Sidi Discovery. I have a wide, EEEE and high volume foot. Huge instep and arches. It looked much narrower than several of its competitors but in the end I can wear them 12 hours a day and walk around in them.

So the short story is get out and try them. Several of the ADV vendor offer free shipping on returns and all I have used were great with return policy. Good luck.

There is a uniform shop near me that sells the Bates boots. I'll see if they are wide enough and check out others as well.
