During the day, I have leaned over even stronger...
I know, because My boot scraped the floor and lost a millimeter of 2 ;) There is also some moving footage from yesterday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrrsj...ature=youtu.be |

Great head-sanps there Liquid_Ice. A perfect example of how we use vision to our advantage in Moto Gymkhana.

About the more lean than lock?
Well, hard to say, I've never ridden a GS but if it's anything like my TDM you still have a few mm's before you hit the stops. But, it's a moot point. I can ride slow against the stops but the moment I add pace my turn opens out. I'm not brave enough to bang the bars against the stops when i'm riding a little quicker. Not co-ordinated enough, confident enough or fool hardy enough. I think you looked bloody good! In one of the photos it looks like your half way off the front tire so I reckon your speed is good. The only way forward is to refine the technique to tighten the turn. Hard, very hard....... Well done. |

found this guy on YouTubes....
Here is plenty of lean AND steering. HAHA! Either in Poland or Ukraine, judging from the comments. Very very impressive. As for Liquid_ice, good riding. I'm pretty sure it felt a lot more intense than it looks on the tape. However if the bars can twist further, I say try to get them to a full stop at some point. Of course this comes from a guy who couldn't get his DRZ to twist to a full stop, so take this with a grain of something.

I'm not saying it's bad or slow. It is about cutting some time. I know how GS can turn, thats why I said that :)
By the way, I have another problem. Not enough lean! Probably it is fear of dropping my nice shiny bike... Full lock comes so quick, but turn radius is still wide on my VFR. Anyway, no chicken strips even on the front :) ![]() Dzen screwed with this post 10-23-2012 at 10:53 PM Reason: Misspelling, English is not my native :) |
