Good that it ended well and yes he was needlessly chatty eh.

With my skills i could have taken care of him ....give him a hidingnow for lunch and he could visit his flatmate in Salamina

Laugh Dakar Bound !!

Andi,
At the mo I'm only catching up my online moto passions about once a week, hence my late reply to your questions regarding SA travel.

The 2014 Dakar tour is being put together by some Aussie crowd that do this sort of thing every year now. They take care of all the logistics of travel around SA including accommodation and route planning. We are just along on a sort of "follow the leader" tour of Northern Argentina, a tiny bit of Bolivia and most of Northern Chile down to Santiago. The route is dictated by the Rally so where it goes we go. The week prior to Rally start ( the week of New Years) we will be in BA. Bit of a holiday before the day-in, day-out routine of rally chasing.

I'll send a full itinerary if you like so you will have an idea of our where's and when's.

Just three months out now and we are getting very excited.

Hope to catch up along the way,

Dave

The road from Nevados to Murillo is absolutely stunning when its not fogged in.

Looks like you guys are having a great time in Colombia. One of my favorite places to ride.
Estas fotos son clasicas Vicente. I did that route a few times on a Dual sport Yamaha DT125. Much easier than the mighty 990

Yeah a little bike would be the ducks nut around here, Maya was no worries but we didn't have the level of fun crashmaster had ... been reasonably dry considering.

So many of those types of roads around here, did Manizales to Murillo two days ago and had a stunning day so we were very lucky.

Yeap you were lucky to get out of it, it has paid ok but I wouldn't call it "out there" in the fun dept.

That 2+2 bla bla bla is overated .. don't need it.
