Scooter racing in Detroit
There's an old concrete velodrome in Detroit that's now used a few times a year for racing bicycles, scooters, mopeds, mini bikes and 100cc or smaller moto bikes. Don't know if it belongs here but thought somebody might enjoy this video.

Makes me want to break out the Bobcat and remodel the back yard... if I could just afford all that concrete.

It belongs in the racing thread, except it's wasted there!
I wish I was there.

I'm thinking about trying to find a cheap scooter or moped to race there. It looks like a blast, and 2-wheeled racing doesn't get much cheaper!

I am going to go to a race whenever one is scheduled. It would be fun to get something to race there but I don't need another project in the garage right now. If anyone else is interested its www.thunderdrome.com

Looks like a blast. We used to watch the fixies race on the Atlanta velodrome. It was great entertainment for the whole family. It is hard to imagine that track racing was the #1 sport in the US in the early 1900's. Thanks for the video.
