There was one pretty funny event on our little group ride. At the bottom of Warloop where the big pond in the road is(smaller this time than I ever seen it), I stopped under the trees after passing it on the high bank next to it to let everybody regroup. Wanted to make sure we all made it down the rough hill, and get a chance to drink some water.

Nate on his big blue KLR came next. Don't know what happened as he rode up on that bank but he got pitched back down off it right into that slimy clay mudhole and of course he is correcting his lean from left to hard right and that big bike's front made a very wide sliding track through that mud. I thought for sure he was going to eat it right in that mud hole, but he kept that beast upright. He can ride that pig boat really well. Still I busted out laughing, it was funny to watch.

All of you guys in our group rode those larger bikes well.

CopperJohn would have chewed that stuff up and spit it out on a lighter, more nimble bike.

Yeah that 800 is one big ole bike. Longer legs would help too.

That all depends on what you're talking about. Put us both on a road course with sportbikes and she's way faster than I'll ever be. In the dirt it's a little different. I've been riding mx bikes since I could walk and she just picked up her first dirt bike a little over a year ago. It's all about where your experience lies.

She waits for me on the road and I wait for her in the dirt. It works out pretty good.
