Suzuki 2006 DR 200, Wifee wanted more wind protection , chrisbarnes1@yahoo.com makes these carbon fiber screens. So we get one, attach it to the original headlight cowling with 3M super velcro(sp)and tested the screen at almost 70 MPH down off Wolf Creek Pass, all is well
FYI, No chickens were injured in this record speed run The 3M allows the shield to be adjusted up or down. I will attach some pics, if you have questions fell free to contact me or even Chris Barnes. Wife has comfort zone across chest area and up to her face shield. She is happy. ![]() Last edited by Gale B.T.; 07-06-2012 at 06:31 PM. |

Used a National Cycle Deflector Shield on my KLX. Trimmed the little opening area to conform to the number plate nacelle.
![]() double quick release, one on the shield allows quick easy removal for cleaning. The one on the crossbar allows removal of the shield and brackets. ![]() About $90 and also fits up to mounts on my road bike too.

This is a Laminar Lip for a BMW Fundero on my WR. It only helps to redirect the air a bit and minimizes the wind blast to my chest. I'm short though, so it might not do much for a taller rider.
Here's the same Laminar Lip when it was on my SM610. It dramatically reduced the wind blast to my chest and shoulders. Also in the pic is a Touratech BMW X-Country windshield adapted to fit on my KLX351.

Here's the Hyde Racing windscreen on my '07 640 Adventure....
![]() The bike originally had a Laminar Lip on it, but it wasn't quite large enough to do the job. The Hyde Racing windscreen is perfect! |
