Donzilla/Metro Racing had on display the last bike Tony D ever raced, I assume at the pro level.

I'll never warm up to Ricky Charmichael. Just can't acknowledge his supposed goat status because he isn't.

Barnett did state that his long standing record of 125 National wins was broken by RC in less than legitimate terms but as he is a customer/client of his at the time, he kind of had to swallow his pride.

RC you suck.

some Canadian insisted I take pictures of this.

I didn't know it was THE actual bike Hannah won the 250 USGP on.

I didn't know Boysen got into the Links, and this is unique as the link is integrated into the engine case. I'm confused if this is production or ended up being production design or is this extremely unique?

any info appreciated.

That was at Steel City when Carnicheal rode the 1-2-5 to help his teammate Mike Brown win the championship.

As we all know Langston wheel gernaded and Brown won the title and RC got the record.

Yes,I agree tainted *

RC after the race

Good article on that Hannah Bike

http://www.your-adrenaline-fix.com/bob-hannah.html

I think ATK were the only ones who tried something similar in a production bike.

very cool. I'd seen this bike before but didn't know it was an actual US250GP winner.

so what years was Suzuki running this linkage set up? both 125 and 250? I'm thinking they were out of the open class production by 86? not sure when they ceased production on the RM500.

but an actual GP winner from 26 years ago is pretty cool. I could just SCREAM when I think that the RM400 that Pat Moroney won the support class of the Unadilla 250 USGP in 79 was sold on their showroom floor after that season. relatively cheap.

Just another MX bike ready to be replaced by a new one. But it had the Fox air shocks and the rest of the trick items of the day and it might have had Simons forks even.

The thing about trick stuff. At the time it was soooooooo trick and to die for. 10, 15, 20, THIRTY!!! years later, it's not so trick. Now it's nostalgic.

I'd REALLY like to take, and this is as good a year as any, a 86, 87, 88, 89, right through 2006. Twenty years worth of 250's. Fresh crisp properly set up ones.

Take your top 40 National riders. Then take numbers 20-40 not the top 20 guys. Give them each a bike at random and let them race.

There might be a whole lot of embarassed manufacturers when their 2006,5,4's are running 15th and someone on a 94 CR 250 is running away with it.
