Free Atlanta Film Screening of Gaurav Jani's "One Crazy Ride"

Hello Atlanta folks,

Hopefully this is the right location for this post. Long time lurker, but a recent bike acquisition has prompted me to finally participate.

I invite you to come on out to Decatur Garage (Zolo's shop) on Sunday, August 26th at 8pm for a free screening of an amazing film, One Crazy Ride.

Bring a chair and beverage and join us in supporting the work of our very talented filmmaker friend, Gaurav Jani. One Crazy Ride and Riding Solo to the Top of the World DVDs will be available for purchase as well. The official announcement and film trailer are below. For more information about his films, visit http://dirttrackproductions.com/

Been there, done that (i.e., attended screening); my review, as adventure motorcycling films goes:

BOSS; Number One on the charts, and still climbing, with a BULLET!

Yes, and to think it's all a "one-man" show; though others participate in the ride, there's no dedicated cameraman, ride-along doctor, chase vehicles, etc., as in other productions of the genre.

Amazing, palpable adventure; if you don't get white knuckles during the bridge-crossing of the raging river, seek medical help!

Incisive sociological, anhropological, and geographical information: In America, folks used to say, "There's no law west of the Pecos," which was true. These guys venture into little-known regions of the sub-continent of India, where there's no law nor civilization at all, save that of the tribal hierarchy, that may or may not be friendly to outsiders--and these Royal Enfield-mounted riders are definitely outsiders, in that venue.

Well, that's my Siskel and Ebert wannabe review; two thumbs up, because I have no more thumbs! Don't miss the opportunity to view this flick, if adventure motorcycling appeals to you at all.

Now THAT is a solid review. Thanks, XDragRacer!

The date is fast approaching! Just to be clear, Gaurav will not be in attendance at the screening. However, you still need to bring a chair and join us for the film.

See you on the 26th,
David

Had a blast

I have to say, the flick was good - and yes XDragRacer, the bridge footage has some high pucker factor to it.

For the other FF'ers who didn't make it, if DavidG puts another one - its worth the trip. Thats a really cool little venue for watching a movie. In the middle of working garage, surrounded by Porsches, other nice exotics, and classics (as well as a sweet KTM 990A tucked in the corner) makes for a fun evening.

Many thx for putting this one together DavidG!

We had one here in Richmond in '09 at the old Velocity Vintage Motorcycle location (they sell Indians).

It had a good turnout and we were very fortunate that Gaurav was here for that event. It was a nice evening.

Aw man, I just saw this and I live not a mile away. Still cool to learn of the shop tucked back in there. I'll have to seek out the flick separately. Cheers!
