With only 2 days remaining from deadline for departure to Dakar/South America I must thank Ezio Mauro and for allowing me this honor! Without their support I wouldn't really know how to do, two true friends. Thank you so much!!!!!! Now is better than straight line...

ps...buy new mouse for the race

If it was for bloody damned persistence and perseverance alone Manuel will be on the podium - good luck Manuel, not that it's easy for any of the competitors, but you put the effort of a Dakar in just to get to the start line

So now it looks as though the theory of Quinn Cody having the Speedbrain ride was correct. And now Botturi will get the ride.-

Water carrier for Joan Barreda. A good match too. Botturi was fast but most importantly, very consistent last year. That makes for good support. Perhaps one of the strongest pairings this year? Barreda has shown glimpses of alien like speed, the Husky has proven powerful and reliable and dare I say Botturi, in his admittedly limited rally CV has been more consistent than either Faria or Pedrero.

Barreda/Botturi is definitely near the top of the list for pairings to beat.

Yep, so it has opened up the door as thought, but does Bottturi coming in equally open up the door for Fish as a main rider as I assume Quinn wasn't a water carrier?

But what of Chalico - he seems to have forked out a lot of dosh for his ride and there's now a free one gone of course there was nothing anyone could do or predict on pre- race withdrawals, but if would be interesting to be a fly on the wall somewhere

With Quinn Cody, can you have that many serious wrecks in a couple of years and not have that affect your riding? Lose some speed? Make you too cautious to stay in the top 10?

And with the last minute re-shuffle of the deck, how will the team dynamics play out when the defaecation meets the oscillation? You want what!!!???: This just keeps getting better and better.

From his fb yesterday -
This has been one of the most painful injuries I've ever had, and coming at the end of a long painful year does not make it any easier, it's time to hit the reset button and put 2012 behind me...still with all of these injuries I will still remember 2012 as the best time of my life because this was the year I married my amazing wife, Char thanks for sticking beside me through all this crap, your the best, I love you so much!

I have seen his work ethic, and I wouldn't count him out just yet.

From Lyndon Poskitt's facebook page

I never thought I'd say it……but the bike is finally finished!

Here I am, 1:00 in the morning on the day that I head to Le Havre for strutineering. The last four weeks have truly been the busiest weeks of my life. Long drive tomorrow so I must get some sleep but I know you’ve all been waiting for this so here it is, my Dakar 2013 450RR and while the florescent lights and crappy camera don’t do it justice, you get the idea.

Thanks to everybody that’s made this possible, especially my Dad for all his help and everyone that’s contributed to the last minute rush, it seemed like we had plenty of time three weeks ago

A full and detailed build report will follow when time permits.

Love the sneaky ADV stickers on the sumpguard
