Thumb New to Orlando area

Hey folks,

I am new to the Orlando area. I will be out of town on work till June, but I am definitely looking to do some riding when I return! I was wondering if there are any DS rides in the works for that timeframe, or if anyone would like to get together and do some riding and share some knowledge of good riding spots in the area to hit up.
I have a KLR and a fair amount of dirt (sand, haha) experience. Definitely into day rides and possibly some overnight camping action. I don't mind slabbing it an hour or so to get to some cool spots.
I have been lurking for awhile and it looks like there is some fun to be had in the area for sure.
Also, I have some property south of Green Cove Springs and I know there are probably some spots between there and Orlando, just never gotten to take any time to explore.

I am looking forward to meeting some new riding friends in the area and although it is 2 months in advance, I figure putting some feelers out there ahead of time can't hurt!

Hope to have some input from those of ya'll who know the area!

-James

Being a jenkem baron will attract Dr.Z and Ineptizoid. Since you have a KLR and sand experience there is plenty of fun to be had in Ocala National Forest. Again, Dr.Z expertise right there. Welcome.

Keep checking out the Florida Sand Fleas thread for updates on rides out there.

The CADS thread has also been pretty active in Ocala lately, but as the weather heats up the riding will slow.

Cool, thanks for the input. I've ridden with Ineptezoid a couple times a few years ago. I used to live in Pensacola.
