I saw this film on A virgin flight also.... Picture was good but sound was a bit shonky as it always is on aircraft...

Anyhow liked it that much I bought a few tickets to the cinema showing at the entertainment quarter in Sydney to take the missus and a few friends .

Award winning Dakar movie “Dream Racer” to screen for the first time in Australia

In the press today...

Tuesday, September 10th, 2013
This October, Australian audiences will have the opportunity to see the award winning “Dream Racer” documentary feature film on the big screen for the first time with a series of 9 exclusive premiere screenings at Hoyts cinemas Australia-wide.

Hailed by Mitchell Block, producer of academy award winning documentary Big Mama as “a compelling, moving and powerful film”, Dream Racer tells the story of French Australian Business Consultant Christophe Barriere-Varju’s attempt to take on the Dakar Rally on his motorbike.

For the first time on the big screen, Dream Racer shows the legendary Dakar Rally in its purest form – no sponsors, no multi-million dollar team, not even a mechanic – just one man, a motorbike, his tool-roll, and the world’s most dangerous motor race.

But far more than just a motorbike movie, it’s a call to arms for anyone who has ever dreamt of doing anything – a spine tingling antidote to the fear of life passing you by unfulfilled.

Dream Racer has been acclaimed at film festivals around the world, with wins including Best Documentary at Los Angeles All Sports Festival, the Human Values and Sport Award in Barcelona and runner up for Best Documentary in New Delhi. After attending a cast, crew and friends preview screening, Candide McDonald, Editor of Australian Creative magazine dubbed Dream Racer “The motivational film of the decade.”

Screenings will take place from October 9 - October 23. Tickets by pre-pay only. Visit www.dreamracer.tv for dates and venues, to view the trailer and book tickets.

-Release ends-

Terminus Hotel about a block away.... (Or Liquorland at Coles in the complex) I'll be wanting to grab a feed somewhere along the line, but not really sure of my plans yet.
