Congratulations on getting back to riding after such an horrific accident and thanks for telling your story. It's good to read stories of strength and persistence both mental and physical as they help us realise the immense capacity of the human body and spirit to deal with adversity.
I hope your recovery continues and the levels of discomfort and pain subside enough for you to be able to ride the bike of your choice. |

Dan,
WOW. Horrible accident but what a testimony to keeping the future in focus. Many folks with fewer problems would have just given up. Excellent that you are "back on the horse" and best wishes for your continued recovery. You inspire all of us. John |

brother, you have a heart touching story, but keep it up right, and your chin up, things just work out that way. all your brothers and sisters will always be here to help you in your time in need. its great that you got most of your costs paid for. i spent 2 years in a sling with 1 arm, bumming around the station shuffling papers from one side of the desk back to the other for 2 years.
dont question why your alive and why others are not, just think, this world is not finished with you yet. as i say about my self, Hell got scared that i would take over, so they sent me back... Storm Shadow screwed with this post 06-20-2012 at 05:13 AM |

What gear were you wearing in addition to your AGV rossi helmet? In addition to pure luck, this might have been the difference between life and death.
Glad you survived, had the toughness to recover and ability to ride again. |

Thanks for sharing your story and keep the faith Brother. Sounds like you have a lot to look forward too, good luck in Motor Officer School, you might actually like riding a Harley.

Wow - hell of a story. For all the pain you've gone through, you probably know yourself and your own strength better than most of us.
Thanks for posting - hope you keep feeling better.

You are an amazing person to go through what you did and get back on a bike. I hope your pain subsides soon. Every time I would read about a crash on this site or others, I would wonder if I could get back on a bike. I found that out about 5 weeks ago when I had my first accident. Nothing like yours, though. It seemed the hand of God snatched me of my bike just in time. It's a slow process getting your "bike legs" again. Do it at your own pace, that's all!
