If you name was Paula, that offer would seem a lot more tempting

But thanks for the kind words
I just had an incredible day wine tasting and riding the roads around Salta Argentina.
Life doesn't get much better.........
Are you sure your name is not Paula?

Riding south out of Uyuni is like riding on a different planet. And since there is no other humans or living things anywhere around for miles, you might as well be on a different planet

Frontera

At every border crossing, you have to do 4 things
Get your bike stamped out
Get your passport stamped out
Get your passport stamped in to the new country
And get your bike stamped in

In Bolivia, they didn't make it easy.
The place where you stamp your bike out is impossible to find unless you have GPS and know where it is.
Fortunately, I get the heads up the day earlier from some fellow travelers and I got the GPS tracks to find it.
It was at this operating mine.
It was also located at 16,500 feet up
The air was pretty thin up there
And it was cold too
I stayed just long enough to get stamped out, eat some snacks and snap a few pictures

What do you think they do with all this acid?
And what do you think the driver of this truck gets paid to haul this load up the mountain to 16,500?
Not enough!

Near the border, there is a geyser field at over 15,000 feet
It is lacated on the Ring of Fire so you know there is some things going on underground here

It's like riding on Mars
Even the amount of free oxygen seems about the same
