Come take a ride with me

CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO WATCH THE VIDEO of me riding on the Robert Campbell Hwy in the Yukon. It is mostly dirt for 350 miles and you might see more bears than cars along the way

Good Days and not so good days

The weather will really make or break a trip. The last video showed me riding in to Pruhdoe Bay on a perfect day. It was 70 degrees when I hit the north slope. People that lived up there said it was the nicest day so far that summer and the weather didn't get any better that that. So I felt lucky to experience Pruhdoe Bay on a nice day. But as you know, the weather can change over night and it certainly did for me. Here is a VIDEO of the ride out the next morning..........200 miles of rain and slippery mud! And this was not the worst part. When the mud got deep, the lens was covered in mud so I lost the good stuff

The good, the bad and the ugly

My trip was not all sunshine. Here is a VIDEO of a Thunderstorm in BC that had a me soaked in 30 seconds. By the time I ducked in to a Tim Hortons, I could not have been any wetter if I had jumped in to a river

And the Ugly.....VIDEO

I seemed to always find a great spot to camp each night. But this VIDEO will show this was not always the case. Here I am looking for a place to sleep. I am going down slippery dirt roads in the rain in the middle of nowhere. The spot I did find had the most mosquitos I have ever seen. I put my tent up in the rain. I unzipped it, dove in and still let in about 20 mosquitos that I spend the next 30 minutes hunting down and killing

Talking Hang in there!

Like you said, the trip won't always be glamorous, but you won't ever forget or regret living out your dream. The rain might come, but you'll always dry off eventually, and have a chuckle about it later. The nights will get lonely and long, but they give you time to dig inside your mind and figure things out. Don't let the difficult spots get you down, just hang tight.

There are a lot of us around the world eager to read about your next adventure, so take care!

My next Adventure

Well put Baby Doll
You can't have the rainbow w/o the rain.
In 2 weeks I leave for Cabo San Lucas. I am guiding a trip with 16 clients from San Diego to Cabo on Honda XR650 and CRF 450 enduro bikes. These trips are as much fun as you can have with or without your clothes on. It is a 7 day trip with 6 very full days of riding. We will stop and eat fish tacos on remote beaches in sleepy fishing villages during the day, find the best margarita in all of Baja in the evening and put more miles on these dirt bikes than your butt ever thought was possible on some of the best roads and trails in the world. And then of course we finish in the resort town of Cabo........need I say more?
I will bring my camera along and document the ups and downs along the way.
Ed
or as I am called in Baja..........Eduardo Especial

Hey Ed

Just finished your report, wow, what an amazing story.
Your pictures makes me daydream. I really enjoyed it, and I have a deep respect for the choices you have made and the things you have sacrificed to make your dream come true.
I donīt know if you are passing through Denmark, when you get to Europe, but if you do, you are more than welcome to stop by my/our house(apartment) for some meat and good wine,

Take care.
Greetings from Denmark

...by the way, you donīt happen to be related to Mark Wahlberg, Michael C Hall and Kevin Bacon!?! You remind me off them

Some people don't believe it............................here's a VIDEO of me taking a dip in the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean in Pruhdoe Bay Alaska. In fact, I can't even believe I did it! But here it is.............proof!
