Kathe and I had a deal in Madrid.
I wanted to go to the wine bar and she wanted to go shopping after.
And for me, I hate shopping more than just about anything.
Kathe loves it.

Walking around Lima
It is cold here.
But it is winter

The airline forgot my bag so I have been borrowing clothes to wear.
They just delivered it 2 days later.
What I was missing more than my clothes was all the good wine from France and Spain that I had stashed.

Well,

I am only to page 130 and I had to let you know you have another reader and fan. I see you found a hottie. Now back to the story so I can see it unfold in real time.

What about the car to haul it all home, was it hours of"oh look honey isn't this cute,oh my I have to have that"but I'll bet she looks pretty hot when she is trying to convince you to come shop with her.

Actually, most of the shopping was for me because when you are traveling around the world on a motorcycle, you are not packing a lot of "hot" clothes for going out to the nightclubs

Oh, as for all the tourist traps? Run don't walk away from them, as fast as you can so they don't bring out "the jerk" in you. Funny shit DUDE! Keep it up.
I just got caught up on all the posts too. The first time this picture was posted I quickly looked at it and all I saw was the (2) nudes. On the responses people posted I noticed something else. It appears to me that just beyond these nudes in the red, it could be someone going down on another for a little box lunch. It could be just me but maybe this artist was including things in their art beyond the obvious. Maybe I have had to much Does anyone else see this.

Great report!

I'm loving your adventures and point of views. I now know more about wine than I thought I ever would. I've never met anyone with your techniques for camping. Can't wait for more, very entertaining! It's also interesting to see you cross paths with other RTW riders that I've followed. Such a small world.

Yes, my camping techniques push the envelope.......that is for sure.
I was worried that I would have trouble finding places to camp in Europe (because it is illegal in many countries to camp in the wild) but it is so easy to find a good place. You just need to know how and where to look.

Lima Peru

Did you know it never rains here in Lima?
Well, almost never.
I did a little research and I found out the last time it rained here was about 2 and a half years ago.
But this time of year (winter), the sun almost never comes out. Along the coast, there are almost always clouds and a bit of drizzle.
The Humboldt Current that comes up from the Antarctic makes the water off the coast very cold. And that water mixes with warm air mass here in the sub tropics to create the drizzle. And then the Andes (the second largest mountain range in the world) dries out the air trying to make it way over the mountains from the Amazon Jungle on the other side.
I don't think there is another place in the world like it. Maybe in Namibia.....I am not sure.
But is very strange here.
I am at about 10 degrees south latitude and it is cold here. But it never gets too cold. And it never gets to hot.
Now move up to 10 degrees north latitude and that puts you in Panama and it is always hot and humid there as one would expect.
So what makes the coast of Peru unique is a combination of this cold Humboldt Current and the drying effect of the Andes Mountains.
It is something you really need to experience to believe.
