Looking down the Avenue of the Dead at all the structures that were built almost 2000 years ago

I thought people would like to see this picture.
I never like leaving my bike unattended. But when I do, I lock all my bags, helmet and riding suit. And then I cover the bike up with an old tent fly. Out of sight, out of mind. At least they don't see the GPS and video camera ripe for the taking.

After 3 or 4 days on the road......I needed a shower
Plus I didn't think I was going to find a place to camp in the area.
So I found a hotel for about 20 bucks a night
It has a bed, hot shower, wifi and secure paring for my motorcycle
But it doesn't have quite the view I was enjoying at Puerto Angel
Here is the view out the bathroom window

So here I am sitting in my little hotel room reflecting upon the day
It is almost 11 o'clock now but it is noisy here and hard to sleep
I rode thru hell to get to see the Pyrimids. That was cool
But now I am sitting in a stupid plasic chair that can't even support my 175 pounds eating a whole chicken I bought on the street (it was actually really good) and some cheap Mexican wine (first wine of the trip)
As I have said before.......there are a lot of sacrifies that a person has to make to do a trip like this.
But it is nice to get responses from people telling me that they are enjoying my RR. It then makes it seem like there is a purpose and I am not alone.
Because it does get lonely at times being on the road.
Thanks for all of your support.
If you have a question or like what you are seeing, drop me a line.
It is much appreciated!

Thumb Hi Ed

I'm following along, and enjoying the ride..You are visiting many of my favorite places...The hot springs near Batopilas, Puerto Angel and Oaxaca...I think you will like Chiapas. The raccoon type creatures are called Coatamundis...The will chew a hole in your tent/bag of you leave a snickers wrapper in there!
Keep the rubber side down!

Great RR

Weather is still rideable in the near Toronto, but I see snow for Xmas. Can't imagine you've had your grip warmers on lately though!! Very enjoyable RR.

Glad you survived Mexico D.F., you were warned:)...Nice pictures of the pyramids, been there myself, pretty amazing...

Definitely check out Orizaba too and swing by the Reyes family hacienda. I stayed there 15 years ago when I climbed Orizaba, he has a good safe place to store bikes while you are out exploring. I included a link below.

Really enjoying your RR, thanks for taking the trouble

Should you by any chance be visiting Holland next year, there's a bed for you here. (Depending on your and our schedule that is, we're off to India next summer for 4 weeks. My email address is on my webpage).

Keep up the good work!

love your RR man, keep it up! the long days on the road will be worth it and when you're done you'll miss being out there!

for me, i'm still in the "someday" phase. jealous of those like you living it.
