This was not a hot spring.
It was an well that was dug to look for oil along the coast.
But the water was hot like a hot spring.
Instead of smelling like sulfer, it smelled like oil
I didn't stay long

Next stop was Terrialba. I went whitewater kayaking on the Pacuare River. That river is rated in the top 5 rivers in the world to run the whitewater. It was running class 4+. And unlike a lot of other rivers I have done, there is more whitewater than flat water. In fact, the whitewater almost never stops for 17 miles. It ws the best river I have done by far. And the scenary is great too. Lots of waterfall tumbling in to the main river channel.
I didn't bring my camera because it would have died.
And I didn't buy the pictures the guides took because they were asking $40 for the pics.
So sorry, I didn't spend the cash so i could show you how crazy fun it was. So here is a picture I pulled off the internet to give you an idea of it

Terrialba

In Terrialba, I stayed at Hostel de Lis. Here is the owner Lis outside what I found to be the nicest hostel in CR. And all for $10 a night

Hostel Lis had a very nice kitchen so I went out shopping for dinner.
My goal was to make the best hamburger ever.
Here I am at a bakery buying bread for the buns

Quemexi

Here's a first.......
I met up with a fellow AdvRider "Quimexa" at the bottom of Irazu Volcano.
Not Quemexi......sorry!
We rode up to the crater together.
It was nice to meet up with someone from this site.
Great guy too.
If you live somewhere near my planned route, let's meet up and go for a ride

Quimexa is a good rider too. I was wondering about some of the people on this site. I thought maybe there are some people that like to talk about riding motorcycles more than actually riding them. I was pushing my 1200 to keep up with him on his 650
And nice Rev'it jacket too
