I left my awesome surf town of Santa Catalina and headed for Playa Venado . When I got there, I found a beautiful beach to camp on. But I asked a guy and he told me that I could find a nice place to camp in Pedasi . So I left and heading down the coast for about 30 minutes. I found a beach that was not nearly as nice as the first one in Venado. But it was still not a bad spot. But it just goes to show you that I know what is best for me and that I should take everyone's advice in to account and then make my own decision on what to do.

I actually moved the cars and some of the bikes out.
Some others sold to finance the trip
But I still have a few bikes there and my wine
When I left, we made a deal that I would do the trip in phases and I would be back in May.
But that all went out the window when she broke up with me.
She was ok with me leaving that stuff there.
I considered moving the rest of the stuff out but since I wanted to show good faith that I was returning, I didn't want to move that remaining stuff because I was afraid it wouldn't show commitment and trust on my part.
But we both have a lot of hurt right now but neither one of us did anything wrong in our relationship so I don't expect anything bad to happen. But if her new BF starts riding my bikes and drinking my wine, let me know and I will have to fly home and start kicking some ass.

In February next year, I will head south from Egypt to So Africa.
It should be warm enough then. And I should be timing the rainy seasons in Africa at a good time for sun

I would hit all they places that I have already visited along the way that I was wishing that I had someone to share it with.
And I would do a lot less dirt roads too

Dont know how you are getting here, we shipped our bikes on the Stahlratte and flew to Cartagena as we missed to reserve our spot on the boat. Supposedly the biggest ship doing the crossing, Ludwig is a good captain and a honorable man. Quite a character if you ask me and the boat is really an experience.

Glad you realized that going home needs no rush, now a new trip begins. Make the best of it, looks to me you are doing it already. Update on your status and chime in if you need anything from here. Safe travels happy riding!

I get in to Carigena on February 25th I believe.
I am taking the Independence, which is a 75 foot sailboat. I will give everyone a full report when I am finished with the voyage
I am not sure what my route should be thru Colombia.
Any suggestions where I should stop and what I should see and do?

Sounds good
Right now I am focused on Colombia
But I am kind of excited to ride a old/new Royal Enfield around Sootheast Asia.
I hear you can live on just pennies a day down there

Hey, what do you have against the old girls.
I have been mixing it up.
I camp when I can and stay in hostels about a third of the time.
There are always lots of girls to chat with.
But it is hard to make much more happen as I only stay for a day in any one place. But if I meet the right girl, I might stay for a quite a while

I found it......Playa Blanca.
Beautiful white sandy beach
