Some of the herds had 3 dogs LD. Pretty amazing how well they do their job.

07/09/12 Monday, Good morning Bitches!!!

Into Bridger National Forest.

These cool thistles dotted the landscape.

We met more ADVrs.
These guys were going North to South on a DR 650 and a WR250.

Glacier rocks dotted the landscape too.
Some of these suckers were huge.... maybe I'll have a better photo of one.

There you go, mo betta glacier boulders.

Great minds etc.....

I kept stopping and looking for bear.... Places like this looked particularly bearish, but denied.

There was a widespread problem with some kind of beetle or other disease that had decimated a huge amount of the Douglas Fir(?) trees.

And into Shoshone National Forest:

Bill took some INCREDIBLE shots:

I'll be sharing a mess of them.

Thanks Tom!
I was concerned too!!! And there were problems that started right away. The plastic door on the lens of my cannon (sx230hs) never opened properly making many of the photos look like they were taken from a car window. It also went a lil nuts several times. I would turn it on and it wouldn't take a photo.... then the zoom would zoom out for no reason.... and it still wouldn't take a picture... The 14x optical zoom only worked for a short time, then would only actuate when it was on mental walkabout.

I also had JaxWife's nikon coolpix s3100. That camera worked flawlessly when my cannon was acting up. I had hers because my coolpix has a busted lcd so I can't change the settings. I also found that the smaller nikon was way easier to shoot while riding.
They both made it home and are still functioning. Mostly functioning.

On to Las Tatas Grande!!!!
I did not know this until one of the guys told me while there:
Early French Voyageurs used the name "les Trois Tétons" (the three breasts).[1] It is likely that the Shoshone people once called the whole range Teewinot, meaning "many pinnacles".[2]

We came out of Shoshone onto the slab.

We got lucky and had some unexpected dirt riding
All the way down the mountain.

One stupid happy lucky fucking fuck.

Into the valley.

Gonna let Bill's camera do the talkin for a while.

More snowy breasts coming up.
AND....The Federal Gubment hold us up for $125

The weather really did cooperate most of the trip. Just a few stories of heat and rocks falling from the sky.

They are not Newfies, nor labs, nor are they Chessies, they don't look like Portagee water dogs.

They aren't water dogs, because a true water dog you have to tie up to kepp him out of the water.

OBTW, they look nice.
