Unfortunately, most of ND didn't look like this.... Most was pretty boring grassland.

At this point the wind has been on my nose for hundreds of miles. It was beating the crap out of me.... I just pegged the throttle and hoped for 60MPH!!!! hour after hour.... This bike will get 70MPG when I'm on my best behavior..... well I was getting less than 35..... low fuel light was coming on at 100 miles... that's 3 gallons burned and one to go... Really made for some long ass days.
MAN I LOVE SUMGMUG!!!

Hi Bob.
I subscribe to the Cesar Milan school of dog training. I subscribe, but I do none of it. I puff up my chest and say awh... you're very cute as you eat that pillow. Nah... my dogs are pretty well behaved. As you know, I can be somewhat direct.

Also my fondest memory of Fargo,ND... Was early morning we left Fargo. Once 25 miles outside of town ..We did a 100 miles in 60 min Right into a gas station.. then did - 105 miles in 55 min ... What a blast!!!

Yes I got a pic ..... That was the last time I was in the right place at the right time to do stuff like that... Back in 07 ....... 7300 miles in 18 days..

In Duluth I saw Lake Superior for the first time in my life. A shitload of those first timers during this 3 weeks.

Right out there just beyond the breakwater.

JDRocks did me right two nights in a row up here. He was watching my progress on my spot and saw me heading for a hotel room free zone. I had planned on riding hwy 2 the entire way from Havre MT to the Mackinac bridge that joins the UP and the mitten. He knew that because of the natural gas/oil boom had taken up every room in a 200 mile radius, I wasn't going to find a place to stay. Unfortunately, this was confirmed by RFlagg42 a month later. RFlagg was doing a rally and slept outside with no camping gear.
JDRocks also turned me on to Ashland WI and the River Rock Inn and Bait Shop. This was a nice lil town up on Lake Superior, and the Inn had the nicest room I stayed in for this entire trip.

While this is a fabulous picture, i suspect that the camera was tilted about 10-15 degrees in order to accent the slope. If you'll notice the trees in the background are not growing vertically. This is in no way a condemnation, nor even a complaint, more like a question for the photographer...
