From Rt. 11 up to Highlands was fantastic; light traffic, predictable curves, great pavement, it was a really nice ride. I had never ridden that stretch before.

I've been carrying a Kershaw folding knife for several years, it's been one of the best knives I've owned. I realized a while back that my riding pants would hook the pocket clip and cause the knife to fall down my pants leg, so after an early close call on this trip, I put the knife away for safe keeping.

I spent the last four days looking for it and yesterday I started to consider replacements, as I was pretty sure it was lost for good.

This morning I had an errant hair that needed trimming, so I got out my shaving kit where I keep my small scissors. When I went to put the scissors back, guess what was staring me in the face?
