And the record shows that it was never actually a world-shaking site, or world-shaking technology... but it did sort of give the world a little bit of a quiver, for a minute or two there

I have some Canadian enduro friends who used to ride there.
They called it the border trail because you went in and out of Canada several times.

One more interesting bit- according to several people who worked there, they actually were able to fire a 'projectile' (actually a 2-stage piece) into a stable orbit from the North Troy/Highwater site, where (I think) they only had permission to test fire into the mountainside. The whole thing was closed down when I moved to the area, but kids that grew up there said the test-fires would knock things off the shelves and pictures off the walls.

It's weird- Bull was building a better buggy whip, even after the world had moved on to supercharged v-12s.
