200 miles in the dirt
Just can back for riding 200 miles in the dirt. The bike performed flawlessly - power was smooth and very controllable with no low end snatchyness. I think I may drop a tooth (46 -> 45) on the rear when its time to change the sprocket a result of this modification.

Copy $ Copy $
Well you spent the time and $$$ to get this tuning together.
I'd be happy to pay for a copy to help you off set your costs. Max

Now that I'm home I just need to get some time to hookup TuneECU - I'll interested to see what was changed from the standard Akrapovic map.

Do these things work on the 950s?

Thanks! I was considering going the pre-filter route but this seems like a better option to me.

I did basically the same mods to my Superduke, installed the CPR Rottweiler intake, removed SAS, removed secondary butterflies and shafts, added RC8 velocity stacks, O2 eliminators, and FMF Apex exhaust. I plugged the breather hole in the CPR base plate and routed my breather hose to a small filter instead of dumping oily fumes back into the intake. Tuned with TuneECU and pulled 121hp and 75.5 torque on the dyno. Smoothed out low end jerkiness (combined with a G2 throttle tamer), improved rideability greatly, revs quicker, and absolutely screams to redline. Like the original post said, saved a bunch of weight too, all the smog crap weighed 10lbs.

Very easy to install, jetting is pretty straightforward and easy to clean. Power increase is very noticeable and for some reason, my fuel economy has gotten better ![]() ...now if it only cooked and did the dishes....

The CPR set up is so much better I don't they are even comparable. The pre filter clogs up in one day in dusty conditions and is a restriction that takes away power. The CPR is one of the best aftermarket pieces I have added. It is really a nice upgrade.

How did you install the PVC ball valve on the CPR plate, cannot find any instructions for disassembly or mounting.
Thanks, Jim |

The PVC is made of two parts screwed together with a ball in between. All you have to do is put a wrench on each end and unscrew it. Once its unscrewed you will have two halves so just mount the baseplate in between when you screw the halves back togeather. Make sure you keep the end that was connected to the engine on the outside of the base plate when you install it.

Will the filter compromise water crossing depth?
This one was over my knees standing (when I walked back across to help some of the MX bikes across) and over the header on the SE, ![]() Is that a fair assumption?

If you have a Uni Pre-filter (removed Snorkel), this setup is no lower than that. Of course if you fall over it won't matter anyways.
![]() The gage that I use is the bottom corner of my Seat "V". Or, if the front fender is under water you are getting very close. Depending on how tall your bike is, that's pretty deep. Slow and steady as to not to cause too large of a bow wake. On my 950 ADV S, the base plate is about 35" high. So, if I walk a water crossing and my nuts get wet..... I might want to try and find a way around or inflate some pontoons.
