The 164 is a way under rated car. We had a 1995 164 quadrifoglio (1 of about 30 in the US) for 3 years prior to getting into motorcycles. I will miss that car until the day I die, but the $$$ to keep it on the road as a daily driver is not spent on farkles. more photos

While I was in Tulsa I decided to go visit the Tulsa Air & Space Museum.

They had a few engines on display of different aircraft.





water cooled V8 used in Curtiss aircraft.

That is a beauty. I almost posted that one, but since this is an engine art thread, I went with the lovelier red head.

The 164 was the subject of my first paper in Freshman Comp. in college. It was a lament about the demise of beautiful automobile engines and the rise of plastic shrouds. I praised Alfa for carrying on the tradition of showcasing the mechanical beauty of their engines. Something the 164 does superbly.
