my buddy, a self taught machinist made this in his garage...



its 1:8 scale (1 foot == 1.5"). works quite well, he's steamed it many 100s of hours around places like GGLS in Tilden Park, as well as various private scale layouts all over the state. can pull 4-5 people on little cars behind it.

he just started work on a much bigger 2-8-2 mikado... first he had to get a bridgeport mill :)
