Rode over to the BURP in the morning, left just after lunch before the storm (Retro riding with the lady on the Can-Am). Spoke to you and your dog (Grayson?) briefly. Rarely see sidecars on the road, six that I remember in 6 months other than a planned event. Two of the times it was matching pairs - HD's and a set of Goldwings with Hannigans and they were on the Blue Ridge. |

Dang, that's right. I totally forgot you popped in on us.
Sent from the voices in my head, and transcribed by their drinking buddy.

I usually see at least 3-4 per week. I cross paths with a harley hack a couple times a week, and there is a guy with a leaner(with a Japanese bike) that I have seen a couple of times per week also.

Hey Thermos, you see more in a week than I do in a year. Unless of course I drop into a rally or visit a dealer. I am thinking that things will change in the next little while, I am going to start charging for hauling other peoples stuff in my rig. I even have a real cheap KLR friend asking questions. I can see it now a whole herd of local, loco hack riders.

Then I saw a forrest camo Ural on hwy 1 near Big Sur after leaving yesterday JustKip screwed with this post 10-22-2012 at 05:08 PM |

I saw my first one this year this past weekend at the flashing light at the center of Stowe VT. I was so excited I didn't even notice what kind it was!

Had mine for 2 years now & have not seen any others in my area. It's just me around here defending the front on my Russian war machine.

Saw a red rig yesterday heading up to Deal's Gap. Can't remember what kind of bike it was but I gave the rider a thumbs up as he passed.

There are a couple of rigs here in NoVA that I see every now and then.
Inmate Chiba is one of them. A few Urals, one of them is unmistakeable - metallic blue with a pair of balls hanging from the back...makes me laugh. A OD green K bike with The Big Red One on it, lives in Herndon I think...see him on the toll road sometimes. I know a few other inmates in the area that have 'em.

In the DC area, the only other sidecars I see on the road belong to people I know, and I rarely see them randomly.
