Oh, and you need two helipads, so that you don't have to hover in yours while guests arrive in theirs. Common courtesy. That and typically the forward helipad is where the service work is done. The helipad that is mid ships is usually off the deck of the owners stateroom.

I'll put up some pics later of Luna and a few others in a minute.
I'll beat you to the Luna....going into Vancouver a couple months back. Sure was moving fast compared to our old pot at 11 Knots.

Some wheels have leather covers on the rim, there is also a compass just
above the wheels shaft and possibly some electronic displays as well.

This is one of the shrouds from the boat that I raced on this past Sat. in steady 15 knots gusting into the 20's.

Could have gotten unpleasant if we hadn't seen it before it parted completely.

Thanks for the reply, common sense really!

That's a nasty looking fray.

I'm glad it held on, could have been a disaster. Is there just one shroud or are they doubled up on a yacht?

My only experience is dinghy racing (a third and a fourth this weekend, crewing. Light breezes and beautiful autumn sunshine!) where there is just one shroud each side of the mast and sometimes a forestay.

Happy sailing!

You're welcome, these boats have an upper and lower shroud on each side, 1 forestay and 1 backstay.

This boat, (edit) they look very big in this picture for some reason, they are only 5/32" wire

And 99 percent only race for beer and trophies.

Same kind of boat at the World Championships in 2004 in Annapolis, MD.

Not my picture but I believe we may be the boat on the left, I got to watch the whole thing unfold, shit happens

Wanted to share this pic of our boat down in the bahamas. I thought it was a unique angle.

The company I work just launched the 1st of 16 new OSV's for the gulf. Here is a video of the HOS Red Dawn getting launched. I wasn't there but it got sent to me.

I really want to get onboard and yell " Wolverines!!!!"

Starts at about 50 seconds.
