Kind of shocking to see a 14 year old scooter that technically still needs to have the engine broken in.
Great find! |

Well guys I adjusted the idle speed and now it really is running like a brand new bike I also messed with the mixture screw basically I turned it in with engine idling until it started making the engine speed up then backed out a little anyone got any idea on base settings its bout 2.5 turns out just now. Also checked the mileage its 219 not 270 but may be even less cos I think the odo reads in km

its only from 2006 onwards piaggio bikes started to use there own designs again before that 90's-06 there were always using minarelli engines its true yamaha use those engines since minarelli is a engine subsidiary of theirs but pretty much any scooter 2 stroke use them now all the chinese copies are copies of these units,
the housing around the engine shows its a aircooled engine so im quite doubtful it would be the same engine as the LC GSM. from what i can see on youtube a MK exhaust can go on this Piaggio |

you're right i read it wrong it was the gilera GSA that uses the same bore
im talking to a supplier i know who specialises in parts for obscure mopeds and he can source me a polini 65cc kit, or 3 different brands of 60cc kit. also metrakit have 2 pipes for it and there is a TRC. think im gonna go 65cc polini with a metra kit racing pipe and big carb and filter.

yes i am having problems too finding parts, can find the variator and clutch in a lot of places and ypvspares can get me kits but not exhausts. would have to find a site in italy or france etc, i have seen some parts on ebay.fr and ebay.it
if anyone wants an update on my velo well its still in the shed i got the "title" for it and i need to fit a brake light switch to the right hand brake lever to pass inspection. when made in france it only had a switch put on the left lever as law there states only one lever has to operate the light. but here both have to. not sure how to do it
