Old Gold Mines of NSW & QLD

Just thought I would share these KMZ files with Oz inmates, you will need an application like Google Earth to view them.

I didn't put them together so can't vouch for the accuracy of the data, but have so far managed to locate a few of the mines around Bredbo NSW and Mt Perry up in Qld, and found they were pretty close to the GPS co-ordinates.

Used to work underground at Hillgrove Gold, near Armidale on the NSW tablelands.

Rode out to the addit from the cage on 9 level on the old trusty when the stope miners had taken the electric loco. Had to watchout for the friggin great holes off the side of the drive and had to keep me head down as it wasn't overly tall.. good fun but!, used to be a sparky out there.

Does taking a bike down long tunnel mine in Walhalla count? This was back before the original Pub burnt down, we camped in the middle of town and rode the bikes up to the cricket ground.

Granted had to push the bike all the way back... ummm backwards! Thought it seemed like a good idea at the time.
