They are the source of constant salt in the working man's daily wound. Don't stop dumping said salt as it is my quick escape from the daily grind.

Fun day for us retired guys tomorrow.
1775 I believe. I ran into this same log Wednesday night riding with a coworker...
I was planning to run a saw up there this weekend in my pickup, but looks like my plans may be changing.
I also took a spur a mile or so before this log that ate my right side mirror....throwing me into a snowbank...which then ate my left turn signal! I've been itching to get past that log, past the meadows, and find my way to the end up that road again (it's been years!).

FYI, the trail you guys are clearing out will tie you in to a "not so secret, just forgotten" road that will drop you off on the shores of Day Lake.
I was up there Sunday, then again Wednesday. Also ran into a 4Wheeler on his way in late Weds. night.
One of these days I'll catch you fella's in the act!

Further FYI, you guys are showing up on a LOT of trail camera's up there...and not just mine.

Even further FYI, Longview Fiber and Sierra Pacific have been putting up trail cameras at entrances to many of their "trouble" areas...and have you seen the budget this year for the WDFW for trailcameras? Yikes!

Lets see; I am well aware of Day Lakes location having been there many times in the 60s. Was the Quad dual sported? Did you report it? If you want to catch me I will PM you next time I head up there.

FFMI~If they are not getting my plate number I will PM it to you.

EFFMI~If they ever did some thing to all the dip sticks that do the sh!t maybe it would stop[slow down].

I know a few people that drive the logging roads for one of the above companies and have heard lots of stories.

Take care up there.

As far as I know, that cannot be legally accomplished in Washington State.

Sounds like you're not a friend. Is this true? I hope not as this is is a friendly site and I would normally think of most posters here as friends. Serious question. When we meet I would like to know if you are friend or foe as it changes things considerably.

What's the deal? No one is poaching the King's rabbits to fill their bellies, just poaching some of the King's trails to fill their souls. No one is dumping refrigerarators or computers monitors or heaps of garbage. Those come up the roads in your neighbors 4 wheel vehicles. For the most part no one can really see where we've been, causing you to need trail (spy) cams. Let's not get started on the broke DNR having the budget for "trail" cams.

So, bscman, are you a friend or foe? Your profile shows you own dual sport motorcycles and you're from Woolley. If you're friend, welcome, I hope to meet you soon.

I hope your just talking about the 4Wheelers! I suppose your purpose, your job, is to stop vandalism of logging equipment. Us two wheelers on this forum are not anarchists or vandals. We're working folks out for a good ride, enjoying the scenery, just plain having fun. I have been a logger in the past, ended up being a hook tender.
If I came upon anyone destroying or tampering with your stuff I'd damn sure do something about it.
You should respect us and let us help you in stopping any of this destructive type of activity instead of generally viewing anyone riding in the woods as being bad actors.

Steve, I kinda gave him a left handed invite. If Bcsman wants to ride with me he can PM me or just show up at the SSP&R. I have talked to lots of loggers and thanked them, because if they didn't work neither did I.

That's what I figured too. bscman, thanks for the heads-up about the trail cameras, that's good to know. (How long till the meth-heads start stealing the cameras, like they were stealing all the gates last year? )

Exactly!
I was referring to catching up with these fellas on the mountain, on a ride...as I always seem to see 'em buzzing around S.Skagit or Hwy 9 on my way to/from work...and I see their posts during the week, which I usually can't commint to! I'm not trying to catch anyone!

I don't work in L.E. or logging...I actually work for a local fuel and farm supply company. Guess the name.

Obviously that post was being mis-interpreted.
I have trail camera's up there as I bear hunt. I should say, mostly bear photograph. I prefer to just watch them rather than kill 'em. I've got these feller's on at least 2 cameras. As has one of my coworkers.

My post was meant more as a cautionary post...
As it seems surveilance and patrolling Longview Fiber and Sierra Pacific properties seems to on the rise.
While 95% of the time, they're pretty cool and just ask you to leave (and often escort you) there is always the chance of them trying to make an example of someone and getting law enforecement involved.

Most notably the Longview gates off Potts and Blair roads off S. Skagit Hwy...as well as the Lonview gates bordering the DNR tract off Janicki road. Of course, DNR closed this to riding a couple years ago thanks to repeated timber theft. This USED TO BE open to ATV's, Bikes, and 4x4's...

Sorry for the false alarm!
