yep, www.ridewithgps.com it is 100% accurate so far, can't say the same for Garmin maps, they are off in a lot of back country road areas

What level of ridingwithgps did you subscribe to? I just registered for the free service. I liked the tool when we looked at your routing and don't mind paying if it's worthwhile.

Paul, very interesting, thanks for posting! Loved the Puerto Vallarta cartoon and the detailed route maps.

Don't hurry up too much to Merida, only flat and very hot roads here

Really enjoying your ride report. Great photography. Thanks!

I checked out www.ridewithgps.com and signed up. Great site!

Keep up the good work. I'll be following in your tire tracks in a few weeks. Maybe see you down in South America.

Suerte,
John Downs

Out of Galena in the morning, the road was good but with the occasional pothole big enough to swallow your front wheel…but somehow they all seemed to be in the shadows of the trees lining the road, funny how that happens

Up and over an 8000 foot pass and down to Villa de Guadalupe and then on to Charcas for lunch.

The nights destination was San Luis Potosi

walking around the historic district

doing some people watching

drinking some very large beers (2 liters) can affect your vision slightly

Doesn’t matter what country you are from as a kid chasing pigeons is universal worldwide…just never seems to get one, and wouldn’t know what to do with it if you did!!!

Bike of choice for this town is a CG 125 whether riding alone or with the whole family

…stayed in the Le Terminal Hotel for 260 pesos with secure bike parking in the courtyard

besides this smallest Coke money can buy...

...its all about San Miguel de Allende...this is a mass upload of photos - enjoy

pemex station from 1947

My favorite photo in mexico so far...

if you are in town stop by and see Adventures Sol Y Luna, super knowledgable about the area and great people too

to finish the day we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant from Reynaldo and Antonina from Sol y Luna - they suggested Taco Don Felix, they told us he used to have a taco stand with table covered in white linen, but now he was in a building outside of town but it was worth going...the drive there about 30 pesos in cab takes you through 'the ghetto' kind of so don't be surprised...but what i was surprised at was one of the absolute best pepper steaks i have ever had (and i have had many around the world) and very reasonably priced if i might add

Really nice pix, Paul. You capture las viejas perfectly. Can only wonder how you're doing with the younger ones.

You're really gonna go nuts with your camera in Antigua, Guate. Don't
forget to look up CA Tours. You gotta fellow Brit running the store.

Hope to follow your tracks to Galeana soon.

I'm in. Will follow along and enjoy. It's fun to see the Latin world through your creative shots. Might catch up to you in Guat.

Hope to see you down the road. Keep up the good work amigo.
