Found a BMW pannier west of Denver, Colorado (owner found)

FOUND: BMW right side pannier
About 3 PM Friday July 20, 2012 while driving on I-70 near Georgetown, Colorado, I found a BMW pannier.

The case was locked, but I was able to pick the lock. There are some very unique items in the case so I will be able to tell if you are trying to pull a fast one.

Looks like it might fit a late 90's early 2000's RS or GT.

I don't know the BMW nomenclature, so don't rag on me for wrong or incorrect models. I'm just trying to help somebody out.

Here is a pic to help identify which models it might fit:

If this is yours send me a PM or respond to this thread.

...but it doesn't belong in the Parallel Universe. Try the oilheads.

The inner part of the case can help narrow down the model (e.g., R1100/1150R or GS versus RS or RT).

Come to think of it, you should send a message to the BMWMOA, since a rally-goer for their national meet might have lost it.

As I said in the original post I don't know BMW nomenclature. It was suggested in another forum I post here.

I have contacted BMWMOA.

it could be mine. It had large amounts of cash, and/or gold bars in it. I mean Jewelry. Am I close?

Hope the owner gets the case back.
