Heading to mount rear case, I also ordered TST Variator, 1000 Contr Spring and 11g/12g DR Pulley sliders, hope they arrive soon so I can test out different combos of sliders for max top speed with least amount of reduction on bottom end...

Almost done!!!

Windshield and rear storage installed. Love the windshield, it makes riding at 50+ much quieter, I can even have a convo with passenger at those speeds. Rear storage acts as a great back rest, passenger loved it... Pelican Rear case is a 1530, 13" long, picture distorts it a bit and makes it look longer than it is. Everything is really balanced nicely with the windshield offsetting the rear storage. Long roadtrip in 1 1/2 weeks that that will be the realy test...

Also installed heads up voltage monitor, nice peace of mind being able to look at a indicator and know if charging system is working.

Looking good. I agree the top box does a nice job of balancing out the screen.
I considered the TST, but read very mixed reviews on it over at zumaforums.net
I am very seriousy considering the upgear swap by itself w/o doing the variator. It should get me 4mph on the top end, not sure how bad it will hurt the low, but I am always right on the bumper of the cars in front of me anyway.
I am dealing with Chris at RaceConcepts (Taiwan) I think, but he is legit and a trustworthy guy.

Howdy,

Nice looking setup. Thanks for sharing all the pictures. Just picked up a 2012 Zuma 125 (June 15). So far I have been having a blast with it. I do alot of trail riding, if you get up to the Ludington area, hit me up. I want to do some trail riding/camping, I have a hammock that I planned on using, it will be a first sleeping on a hammock.

I have been trying to do some mods, something similar to:

http://www.zumaforums.net/phpBB3/vie...p?f=57&t=20596

but I am stuck! cant seem to get the plastic off to get to the horn. In need of tech support (help).

I took some pictures, hoping to post. Not sure if I am allowed to as a new member? or I have not figured it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it is torn down and I cant ride :(

Thanks

rear case details

Exactly how did you go about mounting the pelican to the rear of the scoot. Do you have the Yamaha rear rack under it or did you fabricate something yourself?

I do have YAMAHA rear rack installed which is used in the mounting system but I also fabricated some brackets that mount to the rear most OEM mounting bolts and exted rearward to the back of the case... I'll take some close up pics later and post. I'm not 100% finished as i have some spacers in play that i will be replacing you some tube stock...

+1 on the highway pegs. They are my favorite addition to the Zuma.
