good job ersin capturing this one. people will now have an idea what silver canyon looks like (downhill). the ride up to me i think is easier, just that one section we have to make a sharp right turn and a tight switchback at the top. the rest can be done by an intermediate rider on a big bike. i've seen a few riders in the past lost their front brake due to the fluid was boiling. |

![]() Seriously, that damn husky I have to shift up a gear or I have to keep adding throttle, it has so much compression braking. I thought it was easier going down. Took me about 40 minutes from WMRS to Bishop. Stopped at the Law's Museum. Very nice, they have a LOT of period stuff there that has been donated and assembled over many years. Want to go back and take the wifey. She would like the original house that is all setup, early century authentic. From there went by the VAGABOND INN to see if our other inmates were there...nope, trucks but no bikes. Then on up to Sabrina Lake, North Lake, and South Lake. Found a nice pond off the road going to South Lake and got some good dry-fly action for trout.

Laws is great. My family liked the agents house and the old Catholic church converted to their library. The train house was neat too.

I don't recall Erisn saying anything about overheating on Silver Canyon but I can tell you my GSA did fine going up. It did overheat a couple days earlier going up to Coyote Flats. I had to stop in some shade and let it sit for about 30 mins.

I had overheating problem last year. It was my first year and I was a SIlver Canyon n00b. Bike overheated and I had to wait for it to cool down, twice. This year I was OK. I got a flat right about bike was getting hot and had to stop and fix it half way to the top. :) |
