![]() damn...that's you tony....i have 2 of your books... ![]() back to the RR. after a good lunch at mama espinosa, larry took us east of town for more dirt ![]() ![]() the water here is not good, it will eat up your aluminum sprocket (long story)...hahaha ![]() ![]() we hit sand and more sand later ![]() i crashed here too and pinned my left leg; thanks to todd and jnyrav for getting me out ![]() eventually it became a swamp ![]() ![]() of course it's not a ride without a sleeping pig ![]() todd was back on 2 again ![]() maria by now is an expert in water crossing ![]() larry scouted the road ahead which was rutted and loose. for the safety of the group and lack of enough daylight, we decided to take the pavement ![]() on our way to san quentin, larry ran on some mechanical problem. todd summoned us to proceed and pick our reservatios, while he and jnyrav will stay with larry and get him to the hotel at our hotel, the japanese ena riders pulled it after we arrived. ![]() it's obvious, they brought their discipline with them ![]() finally, all are accounted and having fun over dinner

the icing on the cake.
![]() things could be tough in baja ![]() lots of roads were washed out. this ain't bad since i get to take a pic of it ![]() there are sections that were muddy, todd lost control and crashed, but got up quickly like a pro football player ![]() slipping and sliding, me too dropped the bike, i was pinned and thanks to todd for getting me out ![]() if you have a low fender, better to turn around ![]() the dark clouds coming in; this is going to be fun ![]() ![]() that's what the chain guard is for, otherwise, i will be jamming mud in my chain ![]() we were wet and muddy, but eventually we made it to our appointment...lunch at coyote cals ![]() they were expecting 10 guest, but only 2 PPs showed up that grey afternoon....

Nice!
I was wondering how you got out of there. Rollergirl and I came down the cliff about 100 yards south of that cave. Then we rode south for miles down the beach till we ran out of beach. Did you get to the cave and then turn around and head south till you could get off the beach?

peter, it was here where we rode down to the beach (3 miles ? south of the cave). at the end of this road, it was pretty steep, though easier riding down.

we just met maria for the first time on this ride. she did good, got along very well with everyone and could hang on with slow pokes like me.... ![]() good to hear about the 25th. congrats and pass the word to luanna. have fun in baja. need to wrap up this 2012 wrap up in baja RR. we will be riding to central cal this weekend. big group @ 30 riders. i'll try to post up the RR here next week. so, after coyote cal, todd and i rode in the rain that afternoon till dark, and all the way to ensenada. ![]() sorry, camera not made for low light condition and slow moving rider...hehe ![]() we hit hw1 in santo tomas then went north all pavement towards ensenada and searched for HORSEPOWER RANCH nothing significant, other than todd's bike stalled at the light and won't start. i think he was just messing with me and pushed the kill switch. pushed his bike to the side of the street while raining and eventually he got it firing up again. horsepower ranch is off the main drag, several miles north east of ensenada. the dirt road leading to the ranch was getting muddy, and there was no sign. good thing rodrigo ?, noticed our headlights and he came out with his truck and got us, otherwise we would have kept going and who knows where that dirt road will take us. this place fits our personality as a sportsmen ![]() again, to their dismay, only 2 showed up when the reservation was made for 10 PPs. ![]() ignore that man, but look at the food. the mexicans as very patriotic by showing their national colors. ![]() lots of baja racing pics ![]() ![]() there's my room, and unfortunately my bike has to sleep outside ![]() inside ![]() big t is an early bird, always up ahead of everyone ![]() main building ![]() from ensenada we took the toll higway along the coastline. great view. didn't take anymore pictures, except this one as we cross the border. i let todd and the gsa get in front, so anyone in his way will be decapitated or lose their legs. ![]() i stayed in san diego for one more day where i met my gf. spent the new year eve here. ![]() i had the most delicious food that night, actually after 5 days of eating tacos, any non-mexican food is welcome. ![]() that's what i thought, but the next morning i was longing for more mexican food....me gusto mucho....hahahha. ![]() caramba, i had to take home a to-go....que lastima! ![]() THAT'S ALL FOLKS. thank you everyone for reading and hope you enjoyed it. till the next one....keep on riding.....
