nothing exciting lately, just a few short local rides, here's one of them....

from 2 weeks ago. david and i rode rowher flats and did some drills

suppose to be single tracks but that's narrow enough for me....

a little downhill that is steeper than it looks

from below...yikes. not fun going down with a rekluse

finally.....

orange porn...

as we gained elevation, it got foggy

not a good sign

someone being evacuated

the next day, i found out that a teenage rider crashed on the way down on that same hill we did. he was rushed to the hospital but doa....RIP...

Agua Dulce

I lived in Agua Dulce for 11 years and this place was in my backyard! I live in Castaic now, so it's really not far at all. I did all these trails and climbs in my Jeep at one time or another.

Sidebar: About that teenager. I wonder what he was riding, etc. ? Sad. I have been up that hill so many times.

What a shame. RIP young biker.

Looks like fun Joel. I cleared trail and rode with Chris Horgan from Stewards of the Sequioa yesterday. I have not worked that hard in quite a while.
Check out Chris on the cover of American Motorcyclist (AMA magazine) for March. He is one stand up guy a skilled singletrack rider.

Anza Borrego

Got out to another amazing riding area of CA last weekend. Arnie Fry put out an invite and John (catalina38) and I headed down to Butterfield Ranch and took part in the 11th annual SDAR Desert Dash. Two days of riding covering almost 300 miles of every possible terrain. Unfortunately, John got a puncture in his radiator and his day 1 was called short at lunch. No fix for his injured 500 in camp so we headed home Sunday and didn't ride Day 2.

This is a big time ride and it was no surprise to see lots of LAB2V numbers on lots of bikes. Great peeps and great riding. For sure on my calendar for next year.

Here's a pic of my little girls bike along with Arnie's at the end of the trail on Day 1.
