Whats tail of the dragon? I would be interested but have that week booked. You could try Radisson if you can get 4-5 days.

Saturday Ride
Three of us got out on Saturday, Tim & Marty made their way up to the south side of Peterborough. I had planned a loop on the south west side of Peterborough so, we headed west and up the top end of the Hogsback. Marty took a bit of a swim (again) but, unfortunately ripped a gash in his shin and he decided to end his off-road riding day and headed home.
Tim and I continued on, having to back-track a couple of times because of severe erosion on the trails that the GS just wasn't going to make it through. We circled the Fleetwood Creek Conversation Area and slipped up into Bethany for a pulled pork sandwich at Heaven on Seven. ![]() We then headed south and as we were making our way across the Carmel Line (the Ganni) Tim got into some loose stone on a decent and went over the bar with the bike doing an end over end. Other than pulling a muscle in his shoulder, he was all right but, decided to end his off-road riding day there and headed home. I hope everyone recovers and is ready to go again.

I got up early and loaded the Husky on the trailer, nicely getting it strapped down when I noticed the front tire was flat. I didn't feel like changing the tire so, I jumped on the KTM and headed north to the 5 Points trail area west of Hwy # 507.
Passed through Buckhorn where the Wildlife Art Fesitival was on ![]() ![]() ![]() This was a big "gypsy" camping spot for years but, they've posted no camping signs everywhere ![]() ![]() Got into some pretty knarly stuff at one point, pretty steep. ![]() But had a good day. ![]()

I went down 3 times and the last was a downhill section of rock garden that made me face plant. GS came away unscathed but I Am still hurting. I'll have to stay on the easier tracks with the big bike. John is an animal on that KTM and he wore me out. I had mud where it didn't belong. ![]() All in a days play. |

Holy Tim I'm sorry, I'm the last guy who would want to push someone abilities on their bike!!!
One should always ride there own ride, I always watched in my mirror for your headlight and waited for you on the turns with a number of times stopping and asking if you were all right. I wish you had said something earlier if you were not comfortable with the ride. I had said in my initial post that my planned loop was not intended for big bikes and actually downgraded the loop to accommodate you and the 1150 GS. I felt that your riding abilities were above average the way you were riding on the trails. Once again, I'm sorry

I dont know where the closest rides are to Toronto ... I usually work in the evenings, and want to get some good riding in during the days but still be back in time for work! Also was wondering if anyones doing any trailriding this Sat..... or mondays. Always free on mondays if anyones ever up for anything. I want to test out the Cogent rear shock upgrade! cheers. POOT
