I sealed my crankcase tubes where they met the case.
Yeah, it's a dry cavity, with dry clutch plates. Didn't want anything to get in there, used some hi temp silicone with no issues.

Think I might be done. I've reached a point in my life where instead of taking on more projects, I'm trying to finish the ones I've started.
![]() I swapped exhaust (those are Dunstall replicas from JC Whitney). found a re-covered stock seat on eBay, and put rubber on the rear brake pedal. If you look real closely you'll also notice new springs for the distributor advance unit. The seat and pipes have really changed the look of the bike (to my eye, anyway) and have gotten me to the point where nothing screams out for modification. Not sure what else I plan to do to it, besides ride the snot out of it. Think the flames will stay. Before and after pix below. ![]() ![]() And one more that I think shows off the lines. Imagine how nice it will look when the front disk isn't rusty! ![]() Now I'm just waiting for spring. Thanks to everyone for their help. |
