Cheers, nice going!
He is set at 19" and put on at least 150 more miles that day, and well over 200 the next.

Mort, Plans for the new kitchen are being drawn up. Looks like I’m going to have to stretch at least 150K out of the old 950.

If you add the 19" wheel factor, which I think is .06, then actually I'm at 106,500. But who's counting and who cares. I just love this bike and love to ride.

Now that's funny!

With the digital dash they have to actually ask you how many miles are on the bike, they can't just peek to see your milage ranking!

What you left out was the huge smiles per mile factor of your achievement.

Congrats!

Oh yeah, I just gotta ask: What kind of oil did you use?!

An 'S' model steat at that, I didnt want the cut down 05.5 seat that it came with so I switched it out for the larger curb. I still have to sand up after about 100 miles to get the blood flowing.

Congratulations!

Nice one mate! That really is an achievement. Like others here I would be really interested in what you did to it and what parts you went through on the journey.

I have just hit 52,000 kms since I bought my 2010 990R with 9,000 kms on it last march, and I plan to give it plenty more rather than change it out.

I reckon Aurel should chime in with his latest mileage update, I know he hit 150,000 kms during his trip, but having settled into home life back in France now has his wings clipped somewhat with a young un on the way Hell he even bought a scooter for his commute.

Well done.

I'm at 42,000 miles with a 15 month old 990 Adv.

One front rotor, one rear rotor, 3 sets of brake pads, one set of fork seals and seven sets of tyres - not bad. Always serviced at 4,500 miles and just back in the UK after completing Ushuaia to Prudhoe Bay then over to New York for the journey home.

What kind(s) of oil & filter did you use in the 100K?

Seriously. What have you had to do to keep that beast running for 110k?

We're dying to know....

I've been really wanting one of these but when I buy a bike I expect it to be good for 100k miles. This thread gives me hope. So really, what other than normal maintenance have you had to do to the bike?

I'm glad to know that I've probly got a lot of miles left on this sweet bike, before I have to deal with it's death.

Many fellow riders suggest I get a smaller bike..."they're so much easier".....they just don't get it.
