How often did you change your water pump shaft, seal, and bearings?

Long story, but to sum it up, after the first replacement of seal, bearings and shaft at just under 70k, I started replacing the set every 20k miles. Eventually, I had a shaft cryogenicaly treated and just replaced the seal every 20k. Still on that shaft with no sign of wear so far. Haven't had a pump failure yet, so I plan on keeping up this schedule for the foreseeable future. Plan on doing a leakdown test this winter, but don't expect to find much loss as the bike still doesn't need oil between 5k services and still runs strong to red line and top speed is still good.

I have 54,000 miles on mine. I have never had a significant problem. Have never touched the water pump.

100k on a KTM, are you sure? Didn't you add a zero there?

Had to stop at the end of John Brown's Canyon to wait for the GS's to catch up so I snapped a quick pic.

My SE has 25K miles of hard off-road.......the equivalent of 100K street miles.

YP, while riding the slick rock last week, I kept thinking that the SE would be ideal here. However, when the next fuel was 200 miles away I was content with my ADV

That is awesome man.

From the minute I bought the SE I knew I would have this bike for a long-long time. It is great to know that when you take care of them they will take care of you.
