Did he stab the front brake when he saw the LEO, causing the front end to tuck?

I just don't understand it. At 1:16 you can actually see he does not have the front brake covered. His front wheel just folds in (or he pulls with his left hand and pulls the wheel in...)

Would really like to understand this, as I don't want something like this to happen to me.

In slow mo, you can see he he wasn't touching the brake, but you can see him roll off the throttle. As soon as he rolls off the throttle, he loses the front end.

Watch his right arm. He doesn't touch the brake, but it looks like he might chop the throttle closed (can see it a little better in slo-mo, but the slo-mo doesn't look as abrupt). The engine braking was probably enough to tuck the front end and he lost it.

EDIT: Damn... 205'd by TRC...

Some folks will enjoy this.
When you hear and feel hard parts scraping it's time to ease up a little.

Hard to say what came first- the throttle chop or the tuck. Extend his line, and later you can see what looks like a line of liquid that he crossed right as the front went away.

In any case, the accident report will read "excessive speed for conditions". Choose one or more of [traction, skill, luck, chutzpah] for the conditions he was going too fast for.

Link or you're lying twat waffle. I'm not going to scan through 27 pages of idiots arguing about the dangers of lug nut caps so see if something's been posted before.

Besides, I don't care how many times you see it. That HD crash is funny.

Little butthurt, are we?

If you spend 30 seconds reading the thread you can keep 30 other people from wasting 30 seconds. By posting things we have already seen you show disrespect for others.

I'm of the opinion, having never been there but having watched tons of videos of that corner where the Ducati slid out, that that part of the road's traction coefficient could be much lower than other similar roads or stretches of the same road.

Sure, riders screw up... but that corner and the slower speeds I see some bikes spin out makes me really wonder about how and why so many biff it at that same place.
