I really wish people would not confuse the U.S. Border Patrol with Customs and Border Protection (CBP)who man the Ports of Entry.

Wow

Wow! I found your ride report a few weeks ago and I finally caught up. What an awesome trip and wonderful read. I dig the pics, food and general laid back attitude both of you have on this trip. I have been on many trips in the states and you are right as we are always on a schedule trying to see as many sights as we can before making that deadline called "work". Thanks to you two I'm seeing things in a different light.

Keep the rubber side down and safe travels to the both of you.

The link above was a ride another inmate had taken on the same boat.About a third the way down will give you an idea of the boat ride on the Stahlratte and the festive ride it can be across the water. Another link for the Boat.

I love the photos of the sunny sea and warm weather. Tomorrow in Toronto they are calling for freezing thunder storms.
I don't even know what that is but it can't be good. Keep the RR coming.

Wow. Blew right through Nicaragua and Costa Rica? Great trip, but maybe want to slow it down a bit. You missed two beautiful countries.

Thats awesome the Stahlratte is still around.
I've been confused about the availability of transport for the Darien Gap as some posts suggested no boats were doing this run anymore.

I hope Ludwig will still be around when I hopefully get my trip headed that way in two years time.

Neda & Gene, glad you guys are back to enjoying an epic voyage.
You will love Cartegena and all that Colombia offers. Such an amazing country and culture filled with beautiful people.

Wish I were there too!
Safe & happy travels.

Cheers,
Dave
