in the past when I've dealt with British vendors, shipping has sometimes been quite steep. Apparently for them to get any kind of insurance on the shipment they have to do something like overnight, which can run close to $100, and some refuse to ship uninsured. So check into Keihan's shipping policy...

Check with Stan Smith at Rocky Point Cycle. I think he still carries Keihan stuff. His prices should be much better than Bob's BMW.

same applies to USA vendors. when you're not in USA. and the USPS is not all that much less expensive than a courier company. although it is much slower.

I called and no way they say. Referred me to Bob's BMW....one of us should call THE UK and see if we can save on cost and shipping with a group buy.

I'd volunteer to contact them if nobody else wants to, and even to shepherd this process through - except I'm leaving for an 11-day tour Thursday, so it's not the best time for me to be getting myself in the middle of something like this. If nobody's in a hurry and nobody else wants to take this on then let me know and I'll at least start it, hell it might take 'em a week or two to come up with 6 Y-pipes!

I have sent these folks numerous emails and tried to call them and no luck. Maybe I am dialing the international number wrong, but it informs me that I "have reached a number that has been disconnected". Anyone else have any other way to reach them? Can one of the UK members see if they can reach them for us?

well, if this deal should happen to lurch forward before I return from our trip on Aug 29th, please continue to count me in unless prices/circumstances change radically from how they now appear; I'm good for it upon return, but I don't expect to be on much more after tomorrow or maybe Thursday...

I'd go along with a group buy. Havn't been able to source anything used. Been away the last month so not placed any firm order.
In July I contacted Keihan in UK by e-mail and got response to my query re ship cost to Canada/US. Is 45 UK pounds = approx $ 98.00 CDN or $81.00 US.

For now, total cost is 114+45=159 UK = $347.00 CDN. Lot of Tim Horton's.

If we could reduce shipping costs with group order that would help. Maybe one point in the US?
