Stand alone GPS

Hi all,
Is there a GPS made that comes map pre-loaded(US/NA) that you can load waypts into in lat/long form and or street address form. I've got previous units but fed up with having to be tethered to a computer. I dealt with it back when running windows and have since gone to Mac even worse but in any case I am NOT NO WAY packing a laptop on a road trip. Road trips are to get away from computers, phones etc.
Yeah paper maps work well on road between towns but a gps is handy when in town zig zagging via city streets. It would be great to stop(as in parked not rolling) near town and punch in an adress or coords to get to the final destination w/o packing a library of city maps or a laptop.
Prolly doesn't exist but thought I'd ask.
Thanks.
