A big thank you to everyone that made the trek to Zion Ponderosa for the 2nd Annual Flying Monkey Adventure Rally. A great turn out for the second year! Please post your reports, pics and videos here. I am working on a slideshow video. I will add it later in the week.

A metal spike that Rob picked up near Colorado City. It took some work, but he got the bike pack to the Ponderosa and the next day we rode down to St. George for a new tire.
![]() Working to maintain east-west relations. A family from Shanghai came screeching to a halt and jumped out to take pictures and check out the bikes. ![]() Dodging thunderstorms around Alton. Lots of lightning, a 20 degree temp drop and a 180 degree wind shift...yeah, that's a little squirrely. ![]() After riding an Saturday we decided to get a jump on the ride back to LA. Battled thunderstorms, high winds and high temps, and finally conceded defeat in Baker, CA at 11:30 PM. Thank goodness Del Taco stayed open long enough for us to get some chow. ![]() If you ever need to spend the night in Baker I highly recommend the Wills Fargo Motel; assuming your only other option is dying of exposure in the desert... ![]()

We had a blast. I'll edit/post my active tracks so folks have a few paths to choose from next year.......more later.....
Teasers: We got caught in a DOWN POUR on Friday heading back from Hatch.....that made things interesting......the only thing worse than riding slippery/snotty trails in a thunder storm? Getting off your bike to deal with a gate ![]() ![]() Some sweet views in Bryce on Saturday ![]() Wrapped up the weekend with another ~130 mile ride on Sunday.......Strega, Fabless, and I pulled down ~500 miles during our 3 day stay......good times for sure....

Great Pictures!
Thank you everyone for sharing! I can't wait for next year. It looks like some of you guys hit some gnarly rain. I think that our group was enjoying burgers and staying dry at that moment.

Jesse, thanks for all the hard work putting together hits event! (Time to get that website up too!)
Had a GREAT time riding the big bike, even in the nasty stuff. The rainy part was a real challenge and the nastiest stuff I've EVER ridden in to date. I can't believe the sheer amount of water that came out of the sky in such a short period of time. I was actually more worried about getting struck but lightning than crashing in the mud at that point. I saw 2 lightning strikes on a peak to the west no more than a 1/2 mi away, and that was nutty. Here are some pics... Looks like you guys had fun. I heard that I just missed you by a minute up above Hatch in the mountains. Those are some great pics of the back of Bryce Canyon.
