Radek solo 2012 Baja 1000 on 990R

Ok, it's faxed in and all done. Gulp.
It was suggested to me that one should try to start as early as possible so I entered pro class 22. I'm only a pro at eating donuts, but I listen the advice of those who are more experienced.

I used panty hose and a uni on my SE for vegas to reno. Tied a string to it and was able to pull the string and get a fresh spot. It worked pretty well. But it doesn't have the glove box access like the 990.

This is a great product with the only exception being that the mounting hardware is imperial instead of metric...grrr

Keep an eye on this or do some hard riding with it asap. I've had two of these on bikes come in the shop. Both were eating dirt from the bottom side. Over tightened, as it's just a feel thing and no rim to keep the filter from moving out of round. Both had the main filter removed, or torn apart. so engine was eating dust and dirt and they didn't even know.

If you like to run a CPR foam filter setup on the 990 ADV, let me know, I have a TEST unit here I could send you. Last ones we tested worked great in the Mexican 1000. Little to no maintenance. It has so much more surface area than the "Snorkel" setups.

Super cool you're doing it on your 990.
My son and I met you at Kiki's in 2008 tearing down your bike. Didn't realize you were a fellow Canadian at the time.
I'll be spectating the race this year by myself, and will be watching for you.
What pit service are you using this time? I'll try to time it so I'll be at one around San Felipe as you come through, and see how you're doing.
