Maybe I cant hear that well nowadays, but mine dosen't have any weird noises.
How far are you from Hondabikepro? You two could compare your bikes.

There have been a few complain about vibs at certain rpm's.

I only notice the vibs when I rev it up in neutral. The performance of the bike hasn't changed but when I kneel down on the right side I hear more engine noise then before and sometimes it sounds like ticking.I will listen to and rev up both machines side by side tomorrow.
The service manager told me
" you just need to get on your bike and ride the hell out of it and have fun,it's running great "

Normal or abnormal engine noise is in the ear of the beholder............normal engine noise will change with simply pulling the clutch lever ( gear noise).

Also depends on what your used to example Ducati clutch, gear drive cams etcetera

I guess I need to stop listening so close to the bike.

I know what your talking about. There is a big difference between my old Goldwing. (sewing machine) to the NC. The first time I pulled in the clutch on the NC, raised my eyebrows. The NC has a lot of noises my GL didn't have. Nothing I'm too concerned about though.
After reading some concerns from fellow NCX riders, I wouldn't doubt there may be other issues.
Now the voices in my head say different though. Can you hear them?

That's exactly what I have noticed and wrote above, but the owner of the
bike who's on the bike daily isn't aware of any difference.

I didn't ride it for a while and when I jumped back on, it was both louder
and vibrating more.

Did you even read my first reply up above?

That's exactly what I heard too.
Mechanical ticking/clicking, and you can't hear it in motion with a good
helmet.

I'm gonna say it's a feature, not a bug.

Don't get me wrong, the NC is still one of the smoothest bikes I have ever had and if these noise's and vibes had been there since day one I would have had no concern.
But they all of a sudden started one day after 350 miles of udder smoooothness !!.

ticking

If the ticking is from the head area, I'd guess its the valves. Probably not a problem, just loosening up a little. If it suddenly got a lot louder, you might want to check. I don't know how access is, but they're screw and locknut. Its possbile, although unlikely, that a locknut could have come loose. My Bmw happily clatters away with the valve covers hanging out in the breeze the way they do.

280 Miles on day 1. Almost Run in.

[IMG][/IMG]

I need a bigger screen and some hand guards. Even with the heated grips on Full today I couldn't feel my fingers. It was 0Deg though for most of the day.
The rear shock and front of the engine were covered in Salt when I got home. Needs a hugger and fender extender as well.

The first tank of fuel averaged 78.8 mpg.

Enjoying it so far.

The red ones are sure pretty.

I've wondered for years now about the short fender fetish manufacturers have developed

As an enduro rider I always wondered about the huge fender fetish of lots of bikes and riders.
