Love it. Don't ever quit. America the Beautiful has much to see and explore. I wish I would of started with the travel bug about 20 years earlier.

Marry your girlfriend now! Trust me, there are not a lot of them out there that look like that and are willing to ride across country on the back of a bike.
Great trip on a beautiful bike.

Thanks for the kind words!
I actually proposed to her on this trip!

We have another trip we're planning in the spring to New Orleans. Hopefully everything works out with that!

Congrats!

As for New Orleans, a buddy and I did that exact ride in the fall. NYC (well, my apartment in North Jersey) to New Orleans. Hit the blue ridge parkway, you will love it. Also, follow the coastal roads (not slab) in the panhandle to LA and you will have a great ride. We were surprised how much of an impact Katrina still had on the landscape down there, even years later.

Btw, great ride report. Keep it coming!

Thanks for the info! We definitely plan on hitting the blue ridge. Did that ride in a car a few years back and now I want to do do it on a bike badly. Thats crazy about Katrina, I'll have to check that out.

What part of NJ are you from? I'm from Rutherford and ride back to visit my parent quite a bit.

The restaurant was called Eiderdown and it was in Louisville. The new pics are the first eighteen in my first post. I decided to put them at the top of the thread.
