All you all, are all welcome!

AV_mech-best wishes with your new business-exciting time!

OSHIAT-thanks. I will keep you in mind, but I already have 3 on the waiting list and do not think I will be stuck with extra filters.

doxbike-President, no thanks. Too much stress for me. 8^)

Got mine today too, nice new box and everything. I hope you are not out of pocket on this one.

You are very generous with your time.

Thanks again!

OK, I took the snorkle off, and the instructions say"replace the snorkle with the uni-filter. The rubber end of the uni-filter is nowhere near the same dimension as the snorkle "snout". the cover over the ABS is obscuring my view of the intake. Do I have to remove the cover to be able to install the uni?

The picture shows the cover not in place even after installation. Anybody with ABS installed theirs yet?

In retrospect, why couldn't you cut down one of the larger, locally available foam filters (uni or otherwise) and fit it into the stock snorkle?

Got mine in the mail. Thanks again for taking the time and putting in the effort so we could all get a great product. You get about 6 months of good karma just for doing this.

Filter arrived and installed. Have to say it doesn't go on in 5 mins!!! Takes some serious finagling to get it on on an ABS bike!! You do have to take off the ABS cover to get it on!!

AHA! The snorkle snout fits into the snorkle which fits into the airbox. This dimension is the same as the uni-filter.
FYI, the ABS cover and the 800 covers need to come off to access the snorkle, and then it's still a bitch to finagle into place.

And, to answer my own question- I did cut down a foam filter, oiled it and inserted it into the snorkle "snout". seemed fine in the garage, but no oooomph past 1/4 throttle-just slowly gains speed. Back in the garage, the foam was trying to get sucked thru the snorkle into the airbox. The vertical plastic bar prevented that from happening. So there ya' go. Don't do it!
