Nice report. I really enjoyed it. Can some one get the bikes in the US. They look like some thing good to get around town.

What an incredible report!! You guys had nine kinds of good luck on that ride. That bit of rain just put the adventure into it.

Awesome report. Thanks for taking us along.

Interesting point about the Gravel Goldwing. I've often thought something like that but never been able to express it so perfectly.

You can upload track for each day to ridewithgps.com and share a link or embed it within your RR. It's awesome to read RR and check gps track at the same time - it just adds another dimension in my opinion.

re philosophy rant on bwm - I took G650X over there and it was just fine. Good enough to make 22 000 km trip, small enough to go through deep shit.

Awesome report and great idea to get there and ride like a local. I need to learn how to travel lighter though.
Cheers
Bart

I've been lurking in the background since a friend of mine connected me with your RR. Joe, I've been enjoying your, Minxter's and Buuuuuuurt's adventure ever since. Many thanks for sharing with us.

I can second the recommendation for ridewithgps.com. I've done a bit of research on GPS and tracking websites, and it's the best I could find. It's very good at uploading and displaying your routes after you've recorded them, and even better at planning and setting routes ahead of a ride. (Of course, that feature isn't really necessary for an adventure like yours!)

Thanks again!

You can upload a GPX here, but only in the laying down tracks forum (outer darkness I suppose). Start a new thread there, then post link to it here, easy peasy, Great RR, thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks!!

I've downloaded GPX files from here. I'm not sure how hard it is to upload.

Thumb thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed reading your adventure ride. I am glad that you finished the whole stretch without serious incident.
My admiration goes to the lady rider.

Until your next adventure, Mabuhay! (Long Live!)

Is it too early to look forward to next years report, wherever that may be?

On that note, here comes winter!
